تعتبر إيران القضية الفلسـطينية قضية مركزية إسلامية منذ انتصار الثورة الإسلامية عام 1979. وقد اعلنت دعمها لها في المحال الدولية والإقليمية، واعتبرت إسـ رائيل كيانا غاصباً يجب محاربته
وفي ذلك قال آية الله الخميني مرشد الجمهورية الإسلامية ((ان إسـرائيل غاصبة ويجب أن تغادر بأسرع وقت والحل الوحيد هو أن يقوم الأخوة الفلسطينيون بالقضاء على مادة المفساد هذه بأسرع وقت))
