Patterns of social welfare among the Arabs
until the tenth century AH

Social welfare is as old as humanity, as it has a fundamental role in the advancement of human societies by solving social problems and alleviating their severity, but the complexity of life over time has made the state take on its Disability some of the burden of citizens in the field of social welfare such as education, health, security, work, housing and other basic services. Therefore, this study came in order to reveal the patterns of social welfare among the Arabs until the tenth century Hijri, where the concept of Social Welfare, its classification and the stages of the development of social welfare, and social welfare in the tenth century Hijri were addressed through an introduction and three treatises. The study reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is that the concept of social welfare evolved in the tenth century AH from charity to a state or welfare society. Social Welfare also has characteristics that represent all the necessary services in order to achieve the minimum standard of living for citizens, which contributed to the emergence of two types of social welfare: therapeutic and institutional.
