Abstract

Economic cuneiform texts are among the most important and extensive

cuneiform sources from which the economic and daily life of ancient Mesopotamia can be studied. These texts reflect every detail of life in those period, from daily transactions to economic crises and economic prosperity.The successive period that passed through ancient Mesopotamia provided us with numerous types of economic texts, including labor wage records, sales and purchase contracts, agricultural land lease contracts, delivery lists, and other types. These texts number of thousands, and upon studying them, we can arrive at a study of the economic and daily life of the ancient Mesopotamia individual across various, ranging from the early Sumerian, represented by the Dawn of the Dynasties, to the late Babylonian efar, represented by the or the Old Babylonian.
