التعليم في عهد المملكة الأفغانية الحديثة (1904-1973)

بسبب العزلة الجغرافية وواقع التخلف الاجتماعي والاقتصادي الذي عاشته أفغانستان والذي القى بها في اعماق التقاليد والتراث ، ومن خلال التعاليم الدينية المتوارثة ومشكلات التخلف، لم تختلف حياة البشر في شمال البلاد عنها في الجنوب، فالأميه منتشرة في البلاد، وحالها حال الدول الأسلامية الاخرى انتشرت الكتاتيب او مدارس القرية الدينية في كل القرى والمدن الافغانية وفي العاصمة كابل ، وشكل التعليم والثقافة الدينية قيمه لم تهتز في أفغانستان عبر العقود التي حكم فيها الأمراء الأفغان الذين حاولوا تطوير التعليم للنهوض بالبلاد.
يسلط هذا البحث الضوء على بدايات التعليم في أفغانستان ومساعي الامراء الافغان لنشر التعليم الحديث في البلاد، وأصلاحات الأمير أمان الله خان في مجال التعليم وأستحداث أول وزاره للمعارف في عهده، ومن ثم التطورات التي مرت بها المؤسسة التعليمة في عهد المملكة الافغانية الحديثة في عهد الملك محمد نادر شاه، وابنه محمد ظاهر شاه حتى عام ۱۹۷3.
