The recycling of Cardboard represents an important practice in the paper industry, with significant environmental, economic, and social impacts. At Al Jawhara Al Rasina Factory, cardboard waste is used as an alternative raw material to reduce reliance on primary wood fibers, thus contributing to deforestation and the conservation of natural resources. Recycling also reduces the volume of solid waste and helps lower environmental pollution associated with landfills.
From an economic standpoint, recycling reduces production costs, as reclaimed cardboard is the cheapest traditional raw material, thus enhancing the competitiveness of paper products in local markets. Furthermore, this activity creates job opportunities in collection, sorting, and processing, and contributes to local community development by supporting small businesses linked to the recycling chain.
