The Lebanese Civil War in Light of Foreign Documents

e outbreak of the Lebanese civil war constituted a regional event. It was not an internal event, but many external forces and agendas overlapped, which made the study of this war in the light of documents a historic necessity to discover the positions of the major powers towards this historical event, and to identify the correspondence that took place in that time period between political decision-makers and their role in the continuation and permanence of the conflict, especially the Zionist role, in forming armed forces in southern Lebanon and making them a force against the Lebanese central government on the one hand, and to strike the Palestinian fedayeen affiliates on the other hand. From this point of view, the research seeks to study the positions of the major powers towards the crisis by studying the available documents, and aims to shed light on the nature of the overlap between the internal factor of the Lebanese and the external factors and the extent of the impact of this on the war and its developments.
