The position of the Iraqi newspaper Al-Ittihad on the issues of employees in Iraq for the years (1947-1948)

The Iraqi press in the royal era was a means of expressing people's issues and a mirror reflecting their concerns, especially employees. The best example is Al-Ittihad newspaper, which was a platform for transmitting employees' suffering as well as their demands for their rights. It did not leave anything small or big that concerned them without shedding light on it. Al-Ittihad newspaper gave employees' issues special importance due to its great impact on the functioning of government institutions. The research discussed employees' issues, starting with the issue of appointing employees, passing through their promotion, which had a large share in the newspaper's articles. As for the transfer of employees, the research gave a clear picture of a group of transfers through multiple articles. We must not forget the issue of employee discipline and the conditions for their continued service. In addition, Al-Ittihad newspaper interacted with the employees' suffering and the harsh conditions they were going through, so the newspaper demanded finding appropriate solutions to ensure a decent life for them, as well as shedding light on the issue of corruption and bribery that affected some employees.
