Author Guidelines

Journal of Studies in History and Archeology 

 is pleased to announce to the esteemed researchers that it publishes researches in humanitarian fields according to the following conditions:

1- The first page of the research should include:

  • Title of the research.
  • Name of Researcher, his scientific degree, qualifications, his/her scientific specialization and place of work.
  • Researcher's e-mail and phone number
  • abstracts;  (Letter size 12).
  • Keywords.

2- Margins and references must be in (APA STYLE).

3- the Research printed by computer using Microsoft Office Word.

4- Number of research pages should not be more than 30 (Size A4)

5- The research should be free of lingual, grammatical and writing mistakes.

6- The researcher should comply with types and sizes of Fonts as follow:

  • Arabic: (Simplified Arabic- Font size 14)
  • English: (Times New Roman- Font size 16), Abstracts (Font 12). All other pages of the research shall be (Font 14).

7- Number of lines should not be more than 30 lines/page

8- The researcher shall be notified if or if not the research is fit for publishing within a period not later than 2 months from the time it reached to the Journal.

9- The researcher shall comply with the amendments the adjudicators may do on the research according to the reports sent to him. The journal shall be informed within a period not later than 60 days.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, or PDF file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Copyright and Licensing:
For all articles published in Journal of Studies in History and Archeology, copyright is retained by the authors. Articles are licensed under an open access Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license, meaning that anyone may download and read the paper for free. In addition, the article may be reused and quoted provided that the original published version is cited. These conditions allow for maximum use and exposure of the work.

Reproducing Published Material from other Publishers: It is absolutely essential that authors obtain permission to reproduce any published material (figures, schemes, tables or any extract of a text) which does not fall into the public domain, or for which they do not hold the copyright. Permission should be requested by the authors from the copyrightholder (usually the Publisher, please refer to the imprint of the individual publications to identify the copyrightholder).

Permission is required for: Your own works published by other Publishers and for which you did not retain copyright.
Substantial extracts from anyones' works or a series of works.
Use of Tables, Graphs, Charts, Schemes and Artworks if they are unaltered or slightly modified.
Photographs for which you do not hold copyright.


Permission is not required for: Reconstruction of your own table with data already published elsewhere. Please notice that in this case you must cite the source of the data in the form of either "Data from..." or "Adapted from...".
Reasonably short quotes are considered fair use and therefore do not require permission.
Graphs, Charts, Schemes and Artworks that are completely redrawn by the authors and significantly changed beyond recognition do not require permission.
Obtaining Permission

In order to avoid unnecessary delays in the publication process, you should start obtaining permissions as early as possible. If in any doubt about the copyright, apply for permission. Al-Adab Journal cannot publish material from other publications without permission.

The copyright holder may give you instructions on the form of acknowledgement to be followed; otherwise follow the style: "Reproduced with permission from [author], [book/journal title]; published by [publisher], [year].' at the end of the caption of the Table, Figure or Scheme.

Privacy Statement

 The names of individuals and e-mail addresses saved in the Journal website will be used exclusively for the purposes set out by the Journal and will not be available for any other purposes or for any third part.
