يعتبر عيد آكيتو من الاعياد المهمة في بلاد الرافدين، ومراسيمهُ تدور حول نقطتين اساسيتين في معتقدات البابليين الاولى: قصة الخليفة البابلية والتي تروي قصة الصراع بين الالهة القديمة بزعامة (تيامة)، والالهة الفتية بقيادة (مردوخ) الاله الاعظم لبابل، والصراع انتهى بمقتل (تيامة) وقيام (مردوخ) بشطر جسمها الى شطرين خُلق منها (السماء والارض)اما النقطة الثانية فتتعلق بفكرة الزواج المقدس.
Abstract:
The feast of Akito is one of the most important feasts in Mesopotamia, and the ordinances were revolving around two essential points in the Babylonian beliefs the first: story of the creation Babylonian. Which tells the story of the conflict between the ancient god led by (Tiam) and the young God led (Murdoch) the greatest God in Babylon either the second point concerning sacred marriage
