Recruitment of Bangladeshi Technicians to Iraq 1974-1978

During the 1970s, Iraq experienced an economic boom driven by increased oil revenues, which prompted the import of skilled workers and talent from abroad. This resulted in the recruitment of a number of technicians, experts, and skilled workers. Bangladeshi workers played a prominent role in this context, as Bangladeshi experts, engineers, and workers contributed to the implementation of vital projects in the fields of construction, engineering, and industry, contributing to economic development and infrastructure
Bangladeshi workers were distinguished by their efficiency and competitiveness, but they faced challenges such as cultural differences and working conditions. Nevertheless, they had a positive impact in transferring expertise and supporting national development, making them a model for international cooperation in achieving development goals.
