The July 14, 1958 revolution in Iraq was a significant turning point in the contemporary political history of Iraq, given the results of this revolution that affected various aspects of political, economic and social life. In this context, many newspapers and journals appeared that covered the political developments that Iraq witnessed after the revolution, including the Ittihad al-Shaab newspaper, which was issued by the Iraqi Communist Party to be its mouthpiece and express its political ideology and visions on all economic, social and cultural levels. Therefore, through our current research, we are trying to follow the journalistic activity of this newspaper between 1959 and 1960.
